Payson Labs is a principal-led mechanical engineering practice for teams that need thoughtful design work, hands-on builds, practical test support, and clear delivery.
Walter Coe is a California Registered Professional Engineer and BYU Mechanical Engineering graduate who works across the full path from early concept to physical hardware. His work centers on the practical middle of product development: requirements, CAD, printed parts, modifications, fixtures, test plans, assembly, vendor communication, and the documentation that lets a project keep moving.
Payson Labs was built around a simple belief: engineering gets better when design decisions stay close to the bench. A model, drawing, or report should connect to the way the part will be built, handled, tested, assembled, and delivered.
The practice supports consumer products, manufacturing equipment, prototype hardware, defense, and aerospace work where disciplined communication and discretion matter. Public examples stay sanitized; sensitive details belong in the right project context.
